All participants will be offered a free stay in Krakowiak Hotel** (ul. Armii Krajowej 9-9A), which is also the venue of the workshops. It is located close to the centre of Kraków and is well communicated both with the Old Town and the airport.
The hotel offers double and single rooms equipped with bathrooms with showers, free Wi-Fi, fridge, TV, towels, and disposable cosmetics.
Breakfast buffet, coffee breaks and late lunch are included. Parking spots, if needed, are available.
Workshops will take place in conference rooms in Krakowiak Hotel as well.
How to get there?
To help you navigate, it might be useful to check Google Maps or download Jakdojade app on your Android or iOS smartphone. Both provide information about train, tram and bus routes in Kraków. Jakdojade also allows you to buy tickets for public transportation in most Polish cities.
PhD students can use 50% discount tickets on buses and trams in Kraków, but to confirm your status you need an ISIC card. Make sure to get one before travel.
From the airport
There is a train station Kraków Lotnisko at the airport. Catch any train there and buy a ticket to Bronowice SKA (4 stops). From there, catch a bus heading south to Przybyszewskiego (2 stops). The hotel is 200 meters from the stop.
Alternatively, you could get a taxi, either one of the official airport taxi services or Uber, Bolt or FREENOW, which are cheaper options.
From the train and bus station
Go to the Politechnika bus stop, catch a 511 or 501 bus (direciton Chełmońskiego Pętla) and go 5 stops to Przybyszewskiego. You will get to the hotel in less then 20 minutes.
