The project “Interdisciplinary Methodologies in Linguistic Research from the perspective of Polish and Slavic Studies (INTERMET)”, affiliated with the Institute of Polish Language of the Polish Academy of Sciences, financed by the National Agency for Academic Exchange (project number: BNP/WTP/2023/1/00073), is addressed to PhD students of linguistics and broadly understood humanities and social sciences, as well as those conducting research using methods used in linguistics.
The project consists of 3 parts:
- methodological school in Kraków, 19–23 May 2025;
- individual tutoring for selected graduates of the School ready to submit their research project to a Polish institution financing scientific research;
- a seminar during which graduates of the School will present their research – individual or team – conducted using the knowledge acquired during the Methodological School.
During the School, specialists will present modern research methods used in linguistics, their interactions with traditional methods, and their use in interdisciplinary research from the perspective of Slavic languages. They will take into account the complex morphological structure, inflexion, and spelling of Slavic languages, which often require a separate methodological approach.
INTERMET will be conducted in English.
